INSPIRATION OF THE WEEK: Maggie Taylor.

I've decided that I am going to start posting the things that INSPIRE me, fascinate me, and intrigue me. Once a week. I'm really trying to become better at managing time, getting my work done, and becoming more creative again. In order for one's imagination to be in tip-top shape, they must be continually fed with beauty, color, and creativity. So, sometime each week I am going to dedicate a blog post to someone or something that inspires me. It might be a person or a thing; magical music, art/photography, a video, words, a friend... anything as long as it is something that sparks creativity.

This week's INSPIRATION is artwork by Maggie Taylor. She is a photographer & artist who scans digital images using a flatbed scanner. She layers and manipulates images & transforms them into surrealistic montages. We looked at some of her work in my photography class & i've been hooked ever since. MAGIC. These are a few of my favourites.

Her website is charming too! definitely check it out if you think her photos are as stellar as i do: MAGGIETAYLOR.com

Wow! I really like those!! Are they drawn, then scanned... or photos made to look drawn?
